Yokohama Tires Review: Get the Review You Should Be Aware. In “Yokohama review,” Autonewblog.com takes a closer look at Yokohama, discussing the company’s history, industry valuation, top-rated models, tire costs, and more.

In this review, we look at all of its lineups, which are the best suited to each, and how they compare with top tire brands across America.

Below are some customer reviews from Tire Rack that will provide a better understanding of how the Yokohama tires fare on the road because of their performance in winter and generally high-performance ability.

Users are assured of the good traction that comes from the Yokohama tires because Yokohama makes specialized tires that hold up great to all types of Yokohama Geolandar, smooth ride roads.

Yokohama Avid Ascend has a good grip on slippery road conditions such as rain and snow. Other than that, they are a nice set of tires to give stability and grip to your vehicle at regular speeds.

According to the tires company, Yokohama, Avid Ascend is built to offer solid traction throughout the year, quiet, smooth driving, and long-lasting tread. The IceGuard iG53 is environmentally friendly thanks to Yokohamas BluEarth Technology and is 17% lighter than regular tires.

More Features

Yokohama Tires has also introduced the W-Speed Rated Winter Tire, which is comfortable in extremely cold temperatures, while not hurting vehicle performance and the ability to drive at a fast pace.

Yokohama has also included design elements like 4-pitch tread variations, which reduces noise generated whenever a tire roll on a road surface.

The brand is known for developing tires for global consumer-tire markets, and also high-performance tires which are the results of their involvement in racing teams and events.

The Yokohama Rubber Corporation has an extensive lineup of products, including passenger cars, light trucks, commercial trucks, and buses, high-performance tires for motorsport applications, and even for building applications.

Top Wide Selection Performance

Yokohama is known for its Performance and Touring tires, its top-rated tires also include cross-country and sports truck tires.

The brand’s tires are built to incorporate multiple technologies working in tandem to produce tires that offer outstanding performance during acceleration, brakes, and cornering.

Yokohama tires are less environmentally-impactful than most other tire brands, though we wish roll-resistance had been improved to make them just as street-friendly as green.

As things stand, Yokohama has a ways to go before it is going to bother the big three tire companies, but it is still a force to reckon with, particularly in terms of solving the problems of the environment and providing innovative solutions for cutting its carbon footprint.

The original equipment tires customer satisfaction studySM for passenger tires, which rates tires based on wear, driving, grip, handling, and looks, gives Yokohama a rating of 718 out of a possible 1000.

Enough of the chit-chat, let’s get to the business and find out how Yokohama tires performed in our tests.

Yokohama has been making tires since 1869, so it is no surprise that they are well-known for their quality.

We conducted a test of Yokohama tires and found them to be quite impressive. They were able to handle the speed and weight of our racing car with ease.

The Yokohama tire is a great option for any driver looking for a tire that can handle heavy-duty driving. Let’s look at the performance one after the other:

Great all-round Road performance: Yokohama Tires Reviews

So, here is the deal. Do you want a tire that gives performance year-round and is not expensive? Yokohama Avid Ascend Comp 8/TT/Ai will be waiting to grab your attention.

With its unique “TriBLEND” technology, which mixes silica and polyurethane, it’s clear to see why it’s so cost-effective.

Yokohama Avid Ascend has been introduced as a large tire with excellent traction, and it’s being used in a wide range of vehicles. One model for which it is designed is the Nissan Altima S-Sedan. In this tire test, we measure its performance on the test track.

Dry road performance

Avid Ascend developed a tire that has an excellent grip on the road and much-improved traction. They have also claimed that their product is all-season, but the performance was limited.

The braking and steering performance of the Avid Ascend combined together to be excellent, but it struggled when we turned on the higher workings.

Maybe like the good grip on the abrupt steering was good, traction and control were under the flag. This tire could give a turbocharged or high-speed car a tough time for sure.

Wet road performance:

The wet road performance of our tire, Avid Ascend, was better than my expectations. I didn’t have any problems getting traction even at moderate highway speeds compared to other all-season tires

There were only problems when we exceeded the car’s top speed. In other situations, traction and grip were pretty decent, even on a slippery surface.

Like dry roads, braking on wet roads was slower than usual. The brake time was a little higher than that of dry roads, but it’s quite understandable as there was water on the road.

The performance of the car was pretty good, but there were some issues. The only issue noticeable is turbocharged engines, which coaxed the car to break its traction.

Snow performance:

When it comes to performance on snow, the tire made ample improvements. It was able to maintain smooth driving and excellent traction on ice.

Yes, the tire had the company’s latest adaptive 3D sipes and tapered center rib technology, but you should avoid pushing it to the limits or driving in deep snow. We recommend going for a winter tire if you’re planning to drive.

Pros:
  • This vehicle has excellent grip in wet & dry conditions and provides a comfortable, quiet ride. A reliable way to get around for short commutes.

Cons:
  • Limited winter performance. Not a good tire for high-speed driving this is because the Yokohama is not designed for icy conditions and driving on ice will prematurely wear them out

Geolandar A/T G015: Yokohama Tires Reviews

Yokohama is a high-quality company that produces a lot of high-performance products. Geolandar A/T tire is one example. Debuting in 2013, this tire shares characteristics of both mud & highway tires to provide excellent performance in all terrain.

This AT tire is built with a durable and long-lasting Enduro compound. Geolandar AT G015 will provide the best performance for SUVs and trucks. Let’s see how this tire performs

Dry road performance

Geolandar A/T G015 had nothing but positive feedback from our test drivers and is a tire that would make any other dry road suspension work better. It didn’t have to grip on slushy roads or be squeezed through tight bends.

When you’re in need of a high-performance tire, this is an option to consider. The braking distance was also short, being an important factor for safety. The durability was mentioned as the cherry on top of this tire, making it a great option.

Wet road performance:

When the wet traction story was compared to dry road performance, it turned out very similar.

The multiple 3D sipes and EDGETEC grooves pattern on the tire help the driver get a good grip over water without aquaplaning. Plus, they also avoid this by eliminating excess water as it approaches the road surface.

The tire was undoubtedly excellent with its traction on the slippery road; we found a little wheel spin on more slippery roads.

Other than that, no issues at all. The stopping distance was also short, another advantage over the other choices out there.

Snow performance:

A/T tire Geolandar G015 is excellent at driving on snowy roads.

The snow tire we tested in snowy driving conditions performed well, giving us confidence and helping us to respond accordingly. We were very impressed with the 3PMSF rating that was given by this tire.

At some point, we observed a bit lost in the steering, but the tires rearranged themselves to give you control.

Pros:
  • The tires have excellent grip and traction on dry and wet roads. The tires also perform exceptionally well in the snow. In fact, this tire is so good, it is a superb performer.

Cons:
  • I can’t handle heavy snow falling

Yokohama Avid Touring S: Yokohama Tires Reviews

Next on our list of Yokohama Tires Review is the Avid Touring S. It’s an all-season tire that provides consistently good performance in different surroundings. It’s a useful option for experienced drivers who are looking to hit the road in any kind of condition.

The use of the Triplex tread compound provides a number of advantages for tires. This includes increased tread wear, grip, and traction for the road as you drive it.

With the launch of the all-new Yokohama Avid Touring S, you can be sure that the car will shift smoother and perform better with increased stability.

The tire, with its high-traction rubber compound and aggressive tread design, is an ideal choice for driving on so many diverse types of surfaces. It has a unique asymmetrical tread pattern.

Dry performance:

Our Yokohama Avid Touring S tires provided excellent traction on the dry tarmac as we accelerated quickly. They really performed well on this street and our test driver was quite happy with the performance.

We don’t have any complaints about the braking time, either, as it was one of the best ones in the class. There’s also no issue with the cornering and steering times, either.

You will want to avoid any tire options with a high TPI number and a track-style tread pattern because they don’t provide the grip or traction on slippery surfaces that you need.

If you’re looking for speed, an option like the Yokohama Avid Touring S is definitely better than tires with fewer features or designs.

Wet performance:

The Yokohama AVID Touring S tires provide improved wet traction, but they don’t have as much grip as they should because the road surface is too slick.

The major issue that we faced during the testing of these tires on the watery road was the braking. It was below average, with a distance greater than the safe limit.

The testers were meant to come back to base after three gates and they only reached one – which could have been disastrous had it not been for their excellent smartphone navigation app

From a safety standpoint, for wet or icy roads you should also be sure to use your tires’ traction capabilities. They did have some resistance against aquaplaning and provided a smooth driving experience.

Snowy performance:

If you’re searching for a tire that’s good in snow and light ice, Yunnan Touring S is the tire of choice. A study revealed poor performance in an all-conditions ride.

But right when the snow started to fall, the tire lost traction, grip, and stability.

But even though, Yokohama A winning tire is designed for all seasons, we would recommend getting winter tires to get the most out of your vehicle.

Pros:
  • This is an affordable tire that can provide a comfortable feel and long tread life. It also has a wide grip with good performance at normal speeds

Cons:
  • Snow traction is not particularly great. Wet/slippery roads make driving a lot more dangerous and having traffic to get from point A to point B takes an excessive amount of time.

Yokohama Tires Review Conclusion

The bottom line is that Yokohama Avid Touring S is a good quality all-season tire.

It performs well on dry and wet roads at normal speeds but suffers at high speeds. It also lags on snow.

However, the tire did bring comfort to your journey by providing a smooth ride. A plus factor of the tire is 65,000 miles treadwear warranty.
