Now, a new Maverick is on the block, in the form of a 2023 model. Judging from current conditions and an optional Tremor package, the 2023 version looks likely to prove to be a bigger hit than the 2022 Ford Maverick.

Upgraded Features

If you pick up a Maverick Tremor, your compact pickup truck gets a one-inch lift, revised suspension, and also gets a new four-wheel-drive system.

The revised suspension gives the new Tremor off-road models a one-inch raise from standard trucks, and Ford has upgraded its transmission coolers and half-shafts to handle harsher conditions.

The Maverick Tremor also comes equipped with Ford’s Trail Control system, which acts like a kind of trail-legal low-speed cruise control.

For the rest of the general public forced into a window shopping experience with the 2023 Ford Maverick, there is the new $2,995 Tremor off-road package, $1,495 Tremor appearance package, and the black appearance package, all of which can be added on to XLT and Lariat trims.

Ford offers the Maverick in three trims– Ford Maverick XLT, and Ford Maverick Lariat--with the ford Maverick XL being the best option to get as cheaply priced as possible.

While the base XL trim is not the bargain-priced, twenty-grand hybrid that it used to be, our very own David Tracy is still dead correct in saying ordering a base Maverick XL hybrid is probably the best option in this lineup.
